Welcome everyone to "The Prim Patch"

I have always loved the look of Prim. The last several years I've tried whatever Prim crafting projects I could find. I love workin' with wood, sewing, stitchery, really any crafts...I could work on projects all day everyday!! (If life were that easy...LOL)
I'm hoping to be able to share anything and everything Prim I can do/find with everyone.
Be sure to follow my blog to see what we can create together.

I have a few things on my blog for Sale...you can check them out here.

My home made things...

Hello everyone!!
First off...I want to Thank everyone for their wonderful comments about the return of my Izzie girl!! She's been home for 2 1/2 weeks now....she's doing awesome....she is back into her normal routine. I was afraid that her personality would change since she was gone for 7 weeks...Thankfully it hasn't. I am Thankful to the Dear Lord every day that he gave her back to us.

Ok....on with my post...

So sorry for the lack of posting...hopefully the pics I post today will make up for it.

These are a few pics of things I made for myself and for my sis. Our golden rule is...if you make one for yourself....you have to make another for the sis...LOL

Remember....you can click on each pic to get a larger view.

This is my Prairie Dress Towel...the pic doesn't really show how grubby it is. My sis Kim helped me make this. She is a much better sewer than I am.
I keep moving it...I've not found the right place for it yet. Right now it's hanging on a 4 shelf stand my hubby made for me a few years ago out of old barn wood. I'm not liking it there.

These are my versions of game boards.
I really had a lot of fun making these. They were so easy to make.

This is my Old Glory bag...I saw a pic of this somewhere...loved how different it was. So I decided to make it. This too was so, so easy to make.

These are my version of Grubby pillows.
I only made one set....so, per the golden rule...I had to give it to my sis. I really need to make some for myself...LOL

Another project that I only made one....again, gave it to my sis.
Out of all the things I made...this was the hardest. That star was hard to sew and stuff....too small....I fussed and fussed with this thing...LOL But in the end it was worth it.

That's it for now....I do have other things I've been workin' on....re-do's, new projects, changing things around in my house....etc. I'll be posting more pic today...Be sure to check back!!
Also, if you have any questions on anything I make....Please feel free to ask 'em.

Have a Wonderful Prim Day!!!

    Prim Huggs n Blessins

  4. Happy New Year Darla! You really have been busy. I love everything you made. Great job! What are the sizes of your pillows and what did you stuff them with??

    Have a wonderful day.

  5. Sure Willow...but, you too will have to follow the golden rule....LOL
    Thanks so much!!

  6. Thanks so much Judy. Happy New Year to you too.
I'm not sure of the sizes...remember, I had to give them up...per the golden rule. But I can find out for ya. I stuffed them very lightly with pillow stuffing. They are really grubby but again...it's hard to tell in the pics. I cooked 'em in my oven to get them really grubby. The homespun is grubby as well. I made the tag from a brown paper bag. I love using that method...it too is grubby.

  7. Everything looks so wonderful, what a neat idea for the prairie dress towel! Your gameboards are awesome as well:)

  8. I'm so glad Izzie is doing well!!
Cute, cute, cute!! Your creations are awesome! I love them all...can I have them all? ;)

  9. Darla I'm so enjoying your blog and love your creations! Hope you have a very blessed New Year!

    Hugs, Libby

  10. Your golden rule is a great idea. I just wish I had a sister that enjoyed crafting and prim items as much as me.
I love the old glory bag and game boards. Did you use a stencil for the gameboards or free hand them?
    ~ Tasha

  11. Thanks everyone!!!

Tasha...I free handed the gameboards. I haven't tried doing any stencil as of yet.

  12. Can't wait to see what your working on next!

  13. Loving everything you're making! Don't you just love homespun? It's so easy and so fun to work with. I use it a lot also.

    Have a delightful day~
